Body Art Cabaret

Body Art Cabaret was the live performance art component of Living Art America in Atlanta.  It was a spectacular evening complete with mesmerizing acts performed by flawlessly bodypainted performers.  The event was held at an unusual venue called Paris on Ponce, comprised of over 30 boutique shops offering an eclectic array of artsy-antique-unusual items.  Paris on Ponce also offers prop rentals, location shooting, and Le Maison Rouge (the red room) for private events.

The event was performed completely without verbal dialogue which made it very unique.  Music accompanied the acts, but no humans talked so the focus was solely on their amazing performance, beautiful bodies, and incredible bodypaint.  Artists from around the world worked diligently throughout the whole day to make this event happen.

The second show culminated with the actual wedding of Cully Firmin and Angela Rene Roberts, two beloved members of the worldwide bodypainting family.  Cully is a highly skilled photographer as well as model and Angela is an award-winning bodypainter as well as a model herself.

Check out my photos from the previous night’s event, The Human Zoo where I did my own small performance.
