World Bodypainting Festival Model

I am very honored to have been accepted as a World Bodypainting Festival Model at the 2016 Festival!

2016 World Bodypainting Festival

The festival is the biggest and most important world-wide event for bodypainters, special effects make up artists and their models.  Official events take place July 1st to 3rd with side events starting as early as June 27th.  The events take place in Austria in a town along a beautiful lake called Wörthersee.  I am super excited to be involved and looking forward to arriving early to explore Austria.

Bodypaint Model Process

Being accepted as a model is an exciting first step in the process leading up to the competition.  The second is to get paired up with an artist.  The way this works is that my profile and images will go into an online database accessible to artists who have also been accepted into the competition.  I am confident that someone will pick me, but in any event I have it on good authority that I may be able to participate in one of the many valuable workshops as a model.  In addition there is a pool of models available in case of no-shows at the event.

Themes for the 2016 events are as follows:

Friday & Saturday – “Metamorphosis – the Art of Transformation”
Sunday – Propaganda – “Control of the Public Mind”
Creative makeup award – “Retro Drama”

I am very grateful to everyone who has supported me in the world of bodypainting, including Living Art America, Brandon McGill, Anthony Dortch, Angela Rene Roberts, Cully Firmin, Liliana Sepulveda Hopman, Tashi Honery, Frank Orthel and especially to Craig Tracy for his studio and gallery in the French Quarter of New Orleans where I first discovered this amazing art!
